In fact, it puzzles me to no end why the developer has abandoned this user interface in subsequent sequels Zork Nemesis and Zork Grand Inquisitor (perhaps because none of the original programmers for Return to Zork has returned to participate in the creation of the new engine). I have never seen another user interface that more closely gives the freedom and flexibility of a text parser while still being extremely intuitive to use. It offers far more options than the simple single click interface of the other two titles. With this interface, right clicking brings up the inventory where you can select any item

Storyline:


The Orcs originated from another world, Draenor, where the majority were bloodthirsty warriors driven by strife. However, their Warlocks remained aloof, devoting their time to the research of magic. The Warlocks noticed a rift between the dimensions and, after many years, opened a small portal to another world. One Warlock explored and found a region, whose Human inhabitants called it "Azeroth", from which the Warlock returned with strange plants as evidence of his discovery


The Orcs enlarged the portal until they could transport seven warriors, who massacred a Human village. The platoon brought back samples of good food and fine workmanship, and a report that the Humans were defenseless. The Orcs' raiding parties grew larger and bolder, until they assaulted Azeroth's principal castle. However, the Humans had been training warriors of their own, especially the mounted, heavily-armed Knights. These, assisted by Human Sorcerors, gradually forced the Orcs to retreat through the portal, which the Humans had not discovered.


For the next fifteen years, one faction of Orcs demanded that the portal be closed. However a chief of exceptional cunning realized that the Humans, although out-numbered, had prevailed through the use of superior tactics, organization, and by magic. He united the clans, imposed discipline on their army and sought new magics from the Warlocks and Necromancers. Their combined forces were ready to overthrow the Humans.




GAMEPLAY:


Warcraft: Orcs & Humans is a real time strategy game (RTS) One player represents the Human inhabitants of Azeroth, and the other controls the invading Orcs. Each side tries to destroy the other by collecting resources and creating an army. In addition both sides have to ward off dangers from wild monsters, but sometimes can use some monsters as troops. The game plays in a medieval setting with fantasy elements. Both sides have melee units and ranged units, and also spellcasters.

The game is a story of the ultimate evil, what you would call hell. Everything that you could even imagine as evil is the main setting. The main setting was thought of because for this action adventure, it was thought that only the darkest evil would be able to give the game its awesome effect as well as its ability to keep the gamer on the edge of their seat to keep the suspense high enough to keep you playing over and over again. This game is a third person shooting game like Resident Evil 4. The main setting in the Game is Hell. Everything that could ever be imagined as the darkest evil is all wrapped up in this game.

The game is an Action Adventure and it is complete with a Punk style music setting with a psychological overtone. This is an adventure engulfed in pure evil shooting environment. The 3-D graphics will blow your mind. Not only will the realism of the action, but the intense music have you on the edge of your seats. This intense creation of ultimate evil in the darkest realms of the imagination combined with the essence of light is the key combination of perfection in this great third person shooting game. The game is designed for one player action.

The main character named Garcia is moving through this evil place in order to save his true love that was kidnapped by a Demon. In his adventure he is in hot pursuit and gradually looses his life force until eventually he dies. Garcia is a demon hunter and even in death he will continue to hunt demons through the game. His mission is to find the Secret Weapon that emits a complete environment of light to which will be the most advantageous to him to defeat the evil demons of the game. Garcia has a partner that is a lighted skull that talks. Not only can it talk but it has the ability to change into weapons or even motorcycles. That is awesome, to have a partner that can transform into a motorcycle to make your getaway.

There have been many horror action adventure games like Resident Evil, but to this date there was never any one with the intensity of Shadows of the dammed. This game was the most intense action I have ever played. With its psychological tone of ultimate good battling ultimate evil, in evils home court takes a disadvantage to whole new heights. Just the main thought of a person walking straight into the depths of hell to save his girlfriend is a story that you can even think that there would not be too much good coming out of it.

What an amazing game this is so far. The environment is so vivid. Graphics are up to par. This game was made for the Ps3!

Being a Rockstar Game, the controls are very similar to Grand Theft Auto & Red Dead Redemption. The controls also reminded me of Mafia II. Very smooth and fluid. There's also a map on the bottom left corner just like in the other Rock* games.

This game is not as fast paced as Grand Theft Auto. It is not a shoot first ask questions later type of game. Keep that in mind before buying. I'm enjoying it but I can just imagine some people hating it for be slow paced.

Investigating crime scenes can be so exciting as you do not know what or where your next clue will be. You are given the freedom to walk around and find clues with the assistance of vibration/music as you get near them.

There is no multiplayer for this game, which can be good or bad. I for one will be way too busy solving crimes around Los Angeles to even notice.

The PS3 version of the game comes with an exclusive DLC card to download a case called Consul's Car.
I pre-ordered from Best Buy so I received The Sharpshooter suit also.
And I was there for the midnight release so I received the nicholson electroplating DLC.
