Saturday, November 20^th 2003 Patella Hotel and Casino.

Field Training Officer Mark Fluet Was at Lunch at 1945 Hours (7:45 Pm to the Layman). He doesn’t sell Vacation Packages like a scammer he is a professional Security Officer. His Lunch Break was interrupted, due to the fact a frantic call from the podium officer that there was a 419.

This is the call for a dead body for those people that have no knowledge of the codes. I arrived on scene and was immediately put into traffic control to get a clear workspace when professional medical arrives on property

Corporate Investigator Jim Martin came up to me and stated that we need to get the engineer interviewed. I put Officer Fernandez on scene to stand by and conduct traffic control.

I walked to the engineering section where the on duty engineer was working. I asked him to come down to the Security office with me and he voluntarily complied.

Once we were in the security Office I immediately called to the surveillance agent asking him to get the room hot. This was not turning up the thermostat either. I have to explain this because some people are selling vacation packages and have no knowledge of real security.

Once the audio and video were turned on I began asking the engineer questions. “ What were you doing?” I asked. The engineer stated that he was working on a room when he discovered that the elevator switch was off.

I asked him if he had contacted the PBX operator to see if there was a call that there was a reason it was off he stated no.

During the course of the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the elevator company ran out of red tags and shut the elevator off to work on it, but he did however, contact the main operator and let her know he was shutting it off

The engineer made no effort to follow procedures this little mishap cost the life of another human being

POLICE NEVER GET THERE TO SAVE THE DAY, THEY GET THERE WHEN THE INCIDENT IS OVER SECURITY IS THE FIRST RESPONDER THAT NEEDS TO BE TRAINED.

VIOLENCE IN THE WORKPLACE

        VIOLENCE IN THE WORKPLACE

Violence in the workplace is one of the incidents a Security Officer Might be faced with. There are several types of violence that can occur.

These types of violence can range from simple heated discussions to a homicide. There is a history of documentation that you need to have from prior incidents to the surrounding area, as well as if there were any problems with employees or guests.

Mark Fluet is trained in Workplace Violence and as a professional Public Safety officer; it is your responsibility to understand the signs of these situations.

Proper Security

Proper Security

By: M. R. Fluet

Security is one of the most highly needed fields in our world today. What most people do not realize is on private property Security has more authority than the police. If you do not know this it is because you were not a police officer and not trained in jurisdiction.

All businesses are classified as private property opened to the public. What you have to understand is that there are codes of conduct as well as constitutional laws, but there is also something most people take for granite. Have you ever went to a nice hotel and check in. After the payment they hand you a paper you are to read and sign. These are rules of that specific property with the consequences. No matter what you say, you have agreed to it by signing your name. This is a catch 22 if you do not sign you do not stay.

Before you think anything, you must do what most people fail to do, put yourself in the owners spot. You own this nice hotel and everything in there you paid for, you want to protect your people and your assets. This is the true role of security.

You also must remember this, according to the letter of the law anything that happens on your property is your responsibility, from guests falling to getting robbed. Now they can say we are not liable for damages, but the fact remains all companies are liable for handling the response to these incidents and only properly trained and professional security can make that happen.

Security Professionals have to be trained constantly. The use of Force, The private Property itself, the Laws and regulations of the state they live. All Security personnel must be trained on first aid and CPR, this is primarily due to what was said earlier, the guests and employees are your sole responsibility. This means anything that happens you can be held civilly liable. This is why what you do how you handle a particular incident matters.

A well trained and informed security department is the key to limiting and preventing liability. A well trained security department is also the key to protecting all your assets and prevent loss. How this happens is a Security Department that constantly trains it's personnel, and keeps them informed either via blotters, recaps, or any other way to communicate though the department. This way all personnel know what the happenings are and they are trained to handle it.

Proper security will be highly trained and highly visible, unless the situation warrants different for undercover officers. Whatever company takes security for granite that is the company that is doomed to fail.

A Security Department must be trained in the use of force, and a properly trained department is armed. First rule of reality, how do you protect others if you cannot protect yourself. Many unarmed officers were killed due to the fact the crooked insurance companies were backwards. The armed officers actually have less incidents, usually 0 involve shooting.

I know first hand. I was the State Certified field Training Officer of the Sahara Hotel and Casino. All Officers were armed and in 6 years not one weapon was fired. The reality is when a person who is looking to commit a crime sees that the security is armed they leave and tend to go rob an unarmed place. Companies that have unarmed are increasing the risk. Today the rise of violent crimes increase due to the lack of jobs that are there. When this happens companies become the victim. This is how unarmed officers get hurt because their companies lack the training to keep a well trained department to actually do the job.

A Security Department needs to have report generating abilities, Radios, Officers and their perspective chain of command. The Chain of command is as essential as the communication. Security is more important now in the 21^st century than it has ever been before.

Infiltration, detection, and prevention.

Infiltration, detection, and prevention.

Criminals are getting bolder and more sophisticated everyday. The only thing between us and them is a good security system. Security is one of the most important fields in the world and growing everyday. People have to understand the problems of elderly crimes, home invasion, and most important abduction.\

Security in any capacity is in demand. We live in a world where crimes happen from the highest place to the lowest place and it is everyones responsibility to protect their loved ones.

With over 22 years of experience in the Federal Law Enforcement, Security and Investigation fields, I am a tough critic on systems because I know how much it means to have piece of mind.

With crime on the rise and living in a violent society it is good to go where they understand that you can not put a price on piece of mind. SECURITY SOLUTIONS

There are many solutions from home security to corporate security, and even just the little tricks of prevention. These are truly the best systems on the planet, and will protect what you hold dear 24 hours a day even when you are not there.

You can not put a price on piece of mind, and we have to protect what we have worked for our lives. Our loved ones can not be replaced. Getting the right information is just as important as getting the right system.

Security is a rising field that will continue to grow over the next century. Do the right thing and find out what fits your home needs. Reality is there does not have to be any monthly payments just common sense.

Security for a business is a must.

Security for a business is a must.

When there is a lot of space in your business, there is always a possibility that there are holes that can not be seen. The average loss to one company can result in the millions. In this world and economy that is unacceptable. The main problem in business today is they forgotten the true golden rule, “ In order to make you money, You have to spend money.”

Now I am not saying to spend millions, but lets face it the system you need for a business has to do the job needed to be an asset to protect the company from loss. Having a good security plan as well as trained professionals are only the tip of the iceberg.

A good surveillance system must be able to provide coverage to all important areas of the building and area of the property. The one DVR I have seen make a difference in many large Corporate firms is the Samsung VKKF011NUS SDE-5002 16 Channel DVR

You can never put a price on piece of mind, but you can safely see how much will benefit when the company loss declines. Security and surveillance are not separate entities, when used in conjunction with one another, they provide a protection that can be unmatched. This protection would be able to protect your company even when you are not there.

Security is truly more important now than ever before

In today’s world where we are faced with violence, desperate crimes and many other damaging situations, Companies and individuals are now starting to realize3 that they need security in one form or another.

Human presence is good but the professional criminal has made it a priority to understand the human behavior patterns. This is why you need to go to something that can not be easily circumvented by this criminal.

One of the best choices is the AAS-V700 Wireless Home Security Alarm System Kit DIY (R). This device is outstanding and it truly gives the piece of mind that you need in today’s world.
